Below is the short film RealTV. Basically, we took Dungeons and Dragons (henceforth called D&D) and reality television and decided that they would be funny together. Thing is, there was something missing, an extra spark that was needed. Is it sad that after we finished filming this, we all sat down and played D&D until 4:00AM that night? Well we totally didn't do that then. No-sir-y.
Okay, so here is the short video work we have done over the last several months. As I said, we have been busy with other projects that kept us away from this type of work. Below we have three (well four if you count the PSAs separate) videos. The first two are by Sam alone, and the PSAs are by me alone. These are all shorter works, and not our best offerings, but they coaxed a few laughs, so they are not completely without merit.
Adventures of Kitty is part of a periodic animated series that will involve kitty in a number of short situations with simple plots. Think of it as a newspaper comics section in motion. Whats Better Than Superman is Sam's loveletter to the movie Superman and its marketing department. However, it is found that even Superman can be bested in this modern Hollywood. The Republican PSAs were a series I did. There were three, however the second one was not put on the web on request of one of the actors (pansy) who didn't want the world to see him pelvic thrust his "wife". The first one sucks supremely, but sort of sets the theme for the other ones. This was put together in only two dats, so it's quality lacks.
Yeah, no updates lately. Sorry 'bout that. However tonite I will update the site with several of the videos we have made in the last few months. Expect us to drop The Adventures of Kitty Ep1 (by Sam), What's Better Than Superman (by Sam), and Republican Party PSAs 1 and 3 (by Me) (2 is not being released because one of the actors is embarassed by his portrayal). You will notice that each of these films was made by either me or Sam, but none were made by us both. In truth RASH films has been on a little bit of a hiatus for much of the summer, hense the drop in short films. That hiatus is over now however, and you can expect us to drop two or three new shorts this coming Wis-Kino (Sept. 24, 7pm, at the Orpheum Stagedoor Theater). They will be uploaded to the website shortly after the screening. Also check for us in the upcoming third episode of Blame Society Production's smash hit, Chad Vader (Do yourself a favor and click here to check Chad Vader out). Also, while on hiatus, we filmed this year's Blitz event for Mercury Players Theatre, as well as an Aporia concert at The Mercury Lounge. We are also back on track to get the Mercury Rising DVD's finished (another Mercury Players production filmed earlier this year). Also, we had a fair amount of success selling out the initail run of Walmartopia DVDs. In short, yes, not so many web updates lately, but we have still been active and busy. So that's where we stand at the moment.
